Add the chat to Vercel

Your chatbot is one line of code. Copy yours from Install in your dashboard; it looks like this:

Vercel

1. Vercel hosts your site but does not edit it. Open your site's code and follow the case below that matches your project.
2. Next.js app: in your root layout (app/layout.js), add import Script from 'next/script' at the top.
3. Inside <body>, add a Script with src set to the script address from the line and data-bot set to your bot ID from the line. Next.js passes data-* attributes through to the script tag.
4. Plain static site: open index.html (and any other page files) and paste the line just before </body>.
5. Commit and push your change, or run a new deploy, so Vercel publishes it. Then open your live site to see the chat button.

Other frameworks on Vercel work the same way: put the line in the one HTML template that every page shares.

These steps are written from each platform's own help pages. Menu names change, and the guides have not been tested on a live site on every platform. If a step does not match what you see, use "Email it to my web person" in your dashboard.

Check it works

Open your website in a private window. The chat button sits in the bottom corner. Your dashboard's Today page shows "Installed" once the first visitor loads it.
